On May 10, in response to inquiries from journalists, Huangpu District authorities clarified that, based on municipal and district pandemic prevention requirements, Huaihai Middle Road Subdistrict was carrying out disinfection of public areas and hallways in key locations such as Xichengli. In-home disinfection could be conducted only after consulting and obtaining the consent of residents. The specific disinfection work is carried out by professional agencies. To facilitate the hallway disinfection process, supporting facilities have been specially prepared for residents to rest by the roadside.
