According to a post by Weibo user @fanfanyang_in_MagicCity, during the lockdown in Shanghai, Zhongke Runda Medical Testing Laboratory — which was responsible for a portion of the city’s COVID-19 testing — issued multiple false-positive nucleic acid test results. Some residents, who had been strictly confined to their homes, were nonetheless reported as positive. Without any opportunity for re-testing, they were forcibly transferred to quarantine facilities, where follow-up tests later confirmed they were negative. The comment section of the post contains numerous similar reports, with users questioning the accuracy of COVID-19 testing conducted by certain laboratories.
