On April 19, a 95-year-old woman living alone who tested positive for COVID-19 clashed with multiple pandemic control personnel after refusing to be sent to a quarantine facility. At one point, she even chased them while wielding a stick. Her residential compound attempted to barricade her home with metal sheets, but the elderly woman managed to escape. Eventually, she was escorted to the quarantine site by several pandemic workers in a three-wheeled vehicle. Unexpectedly, she scaled a wall during the night and “returned triumphantly” to her neighborhood.
