The Difficult Journey Back to Hong Kong in 2022: Hong Kong Residents Plan to Walk 40 Kilometers to Pudong Airport

Due to Hong Kong's flight ban on nine countries, the author flew from Canada to Shanghai and arrived on March 12, planning to return to Hong Kong after completing a 14-day quarantine. However, an outbreak of COVID-19 occurred in Shanghai. On April 4, after the quarantine ended, the author was forced to leave the hotel. Due to traffic lockdowns, cars were unable to travel from the current Fengxian District to Pudong District, and the health code turned yellow, preventing the author from checking into another hotel. As a result, the author decided to walk 40 kilometers to Pudong Airport.
