Chinese netizens mint lockdown-era phenomena into NFTs to fight censorship

To resist censorship, Shanghai residents have minted videos, photos, and artworks documenting the hardships they endured during the lockdown into non-fungible tokens (NFTs). As of May 2, at least 786 items related to “Voices of April” had appeared on OpenSea, the world’s largest NFT trading platform, along with hundreds of other NFTs related to the Shanghai lockdown.
