Shanghai Residents Singing Lo Ta-yu's Tomorrow Will Be Better on the Street

During Shanghai’s lockdown, residents spontaneously gathered in the street to sing Lo Ta-yu’s song Tomorrow Will Be Better together. The karaoke-style lyric-subtitled video was created by YouTube user @niaokuxia.

Note from the video creator:

“This video went viral online, and later inspired some participants at worldwide memorials for the victims of the Ürümqi fire to sing this song again. The original footage creator requested anonymity, preferring the credit ‘Shanghai residents’ and explicitly asked not to upload it to WeChat Channels.”
