Phoenix Weekly | A Shanghai delivery driver bringing groceries to the elderly: My experiences over the past 20 days

Several logistics drivers who stayed in Shanghai shared their experiences during the lockdown. Working over 12 hours a day, eating instant noodles during the day and sleeping in their vehicles at night, this group of steadfast drivers became the “rookie elderly assistance fleet,” delivering more than 300,000 items to nursing homes and other communities and institutions. During this period, they delivered meals to hundreds of households and also ate meals provided by hundreds of households.
